The future of CEE banking
UniCredit is lead sponsor of "2012 Central and Eastern European Forum" by Euromoney
As in the last few years, UniCredit will be one of the leading sponsors of the "2012 Central & Eastern European Forum" which will take place in Vienna (Hilton Hotel) on January 17th and 18th, 2011.
The Forum, promoted by Euromoney, is an annual high-level business event which gets together the key stakeholders and world-famous economists to set up the agenda for the region for the next 12 months.
The event - getting together more than 1,000 participants among foreign and domestic investors, representatives of governments and central banks as well as local entrepreneurs - is an ideal opportunity for expanding network and creating new business opportunities.
The agenda features panel discussions attended by ministers and governors on some crucial issues, among which are:
- The Eurozone Crisis and the Region
- Outlook for CEE
- Fiscal trends, inflation, monetary policy and exchange rates
The separate panels will be also dedicated to specific topics putting on the discussion table such issues as Future of CEE Banking, Public Sector Finances and Equities.
Gianni Franco Papa, Head of CEE Division, will be one of the speakers at the panel "The future of CEE Banking", covering topics such as banking crisis, politics and banking, cross-border regulatory challenges etc.
During the two-days forum there will be a large number of workshops hosted by the different financial institutions: in particular, UniCredit will focus on "EU Funds in CEE: the engine for long term growth". The workshop, moderated by Gianfranco Bisagni - Head of CEE CIB, will discuss also the possible improvements of funds usage for the future.
As usual, during the event, a Group press conference will take place: Gianni Franco Papa and Fabio Mucci - Head of Strategic Analysis CEE - will introduce the latest CEE Banking study.
