Our third Culture Day was a moment to connect on our Culture evolution and shared Values, gathering nearly 20,000 people across all our countries both online and in person.

2:00 min

This year's theme, "Make Your Mark!", was a call to action for each of us to self-reflect on our individual alignment with our Values of Integrity, Ownership, and Caring and actively shape our shared Culture every day together.

On 13 June the Group event, live streamed from Munich, kicked-off with a warm welcome from our host Nikolina Zečić, Head of Group Culture, together with Marion Höllinger, Head of Germany, underscoring our Group's unity and strength across markets.

In the open Q&A session, Andrea Orcel, Group CEO and Head of Italy, tackled the importance of our company's Culture and Values as fundamental guides in our everyday work life while responding to employees’ live questions.

In today’s volatile environment, the only constant is change and all of us need to learn to adapt and change. And it is our Culture that plays a crucial role in helping us adjust and follow the right direction to achieve our ambition.”

Afterwards, Joanna Carss, Head of Group Stakeholder Engagement, conducted an inspiring interview with Grant Dalton, a sailing icon and current CEO of America’s Cup, reflecting on UniCredit’s partnership, emphasising the importance of teamwork, trust and learning from failure required to win both in banking as well as in sailing.

The event continued with the Eurovision styled broadcast of our countries’ Culture Sponsors and Champions presenting the greatest local Culture Achievements.

Finally, the Culture Jour Fixe panel session moderated by Siobhán McDonagh, Head of Group P&C and Georgiana Lazar-O'Callaghan, Head of P&C Germany, engaged local branch managers Eveline Harlander from Germany, Nada Gajić from Serbia, and Krisztián Steiner from Hungary on sharing their personal experiences and the benefits of the initiative. Culture Jour Fixe will continue across our Group in 2024.

After the Group session, the day featured the Treasure Hunt local celebrations aimed at promoting a proactive learning culture while fostering team spirit and people engagement in all our geographies. The countries joined the Culture Day in the most diverse ways: from thematic corners dedicated to, but not only, DE&I, Compliance, ESG, Volunteering, UniCredit Foundation, Risk and Employee Networks offering engaging quizzes and games; photobooths to make this day a life-time memory; virtual sailing experience and volunteering activities like blood donation and park cleaning.

The day's festive atmosphere displayed once again our dedication to living our Culture and exemplifying our Values in action as we continue to

Win. The Right Way. Together.
