UniCredit leads Euromoney Cash Management Survey 2026 rankings in Italy, Austria and eight CEE markets

UniCredit leads Euromoney Cash Management Survey 2026 rankings in Italy, Austria and eight CEE markets

More than 26,000 clients placed UniCredit at the top of Euromoney's 2026 Cash Management Survey in 10 European markets, with top-two rankings across all core markets.

UniCredit has been ranked number one in Italy, Austria and eight Central and Eastern European (CEE) countries in Euromoney's Cash Management Survey 2026, ranking first in 10 countries and no lower than second in any of the bank's core markets.

Euromoney's annual Cash Management Survey canvasses cash managers, treasurers and financial officers worldwide and is widely regarded as one of the leading measures of performance in the global cash management industry, with over 26,000 professionals responding to the latest edition.

The bank secured the top position in the following countries:

  • Italy
  • Austria
  • Bosnia & Herzegovina
  • Bulgaria
  • Croatia
  • Czech Republic
  • Romania
  • Serbia
  • Slovak Republic
  • Slovenia

Following a strong performance in 2025, this year's results represent a further step forward, with Italy, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic and Serbia all improving their rankings to secure the top position.

These results come against the backdrop of continued investment in the bank's payments product factory, including the expansion of international payments to cover up to 140 currencies and a refined customer experience with a more efficient and user-friendly journey. They also reflect the bank's structural advantages - most notably, its unique combination of local market expertise and international coverage and product capabilities, enabling clients to manage cross-border payments efficiently, securely, and compliantly.

Raphael Barisaac, Global Head of Transactional Payments & Cash Management, UniCredit, said: "This latest set of results represents our best-ever performance in Euromoney's Cash Management Survey - an important benchmark of how we are serving our clients. Once again, we have invested in our products and channels and the pay-off is clear: we are #1 in 10 of our core markets and #2 in the rest. Our mission is to be every client's first choice for payments - and this survey shows that we are well on the way."
