The UniCredit Foundation Annual Report is here, reflecting a year of impact, strengthened ambition, and continued commitment to expanding opportunities for young people.

2:00 min

The UniCredit Foundation Annual Report 2025 is now available, offering a comprehensive view of our continued commitment to empowering young people across Europe.

We are pleased to share this year’s report, which reflects how our approach has evolved into a more structured and strategic effort to tackle educational poverty in all its complexity.

Aligned with the bank’s purpose of never settling to create unlimited possibilities, we continue to place young people at the centre of our actions. Tackling educational poverty means addressing a complex, multidimensional issue that requires coordinated, long-term solutions. Only by joining forces can we drive the systemic change needed to ensure every young person has the opportunity to thrive.

A strengthened and more strategic approach

In recent years, UniCredit Foundation has significantly intensified its commitment in this area. What began as an effort to identify key priorities has evolved into a robust strategy grounded in a multidimensional and community-centric framework.

Today, the Foundation acts across multiple dimensions: as a partner that listens and co-creates solutions with local communities, as a donor willing to embrace patient capital and support long-term impact, as a driver of innovation through research and experimentation, and as a system leader that brings together diverse stakeholders to align efforts and catalyse change.

Investing in education as a strategic priority

Investing in education is not only a social imperative but also a strategic priority for Europe’s future. By supporting young people in developing their potential, we contribute to building more resilient, inclusive and competitive communities.

As Andrea Orcel, Chairman of UniCredit Foundation, highlights:

“If education is the bedrock of our continent’s long-term resilience and competitiveness, then sustained and disciplined investment in education is our responsibility as a leading European institution.”

This vision continues to guide our work, strengthening our commitment to act as a catalyst for meaningful and lasting impact across the communities we serve.
