UniCredit announces new appointments in Commercial Banking Italy and Corporate & Investment Banking

UniCredit today announces it has appointed new managers in both Commercial Banking Italy and Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) in order to strengthen and ensure the successful execution of Team 23. The appointments are in line with the Group's ambition to further promote cooperation and synergies by rotating managers across different businesses and divisions.


  • Salvatore Pisconti has been appointed Regional Manager Central Italy taking over from Giovanni Forestiero who will retire.


  • Luisella Altare has been appointed Regional Manager North East Italy, taking over from Francesco Iannella who becomes Deputy Head of CIB Italy.


  • Marco Bortoletti becomes Regional Manager Lombardy, taking over from Giovanni Solaroli, who has been appointed co-Head of Global Transaction Banking, alongside Luca Corsini.


  • Stefania Godoli, currently Head of Global ECM, becomes Head of CIB-CB Italy Joint Venture, taking over from Luca Milanesi, who in turn becomes Head of Corporate Business of Region North West Italy. The position currently held by Stefania Godoli will be assigned to Luca Falco, Global Head of Global Syndicate and Capital Markets, on an interim basis.


All the above appointments will be effective from February 2020.


In addition, Francesco Salvatori, currently Head of CIB Americas, has been appointed co-Head of Corporate Sales and Marketing Italy, alongside Lucio Izzi, effective April 2020. Christian Steffens, currently Head of CIB UK, takes over as Head of CIB Americas, subject to regulatory approval. The appointment of the new Head of CIB UK will be communicated in due course.
