UniCredit aims at strengthening Wealth Management

Company dedicated to financial assets of over € 5 million

UniCredit is to strengthen its presence in Wealth Management.  As part of its growth strategy focusing on business with high capital returns, the Group is to use a dedicated company acting as a hub for offering a full package of investment management and consulting services for customers with over € 5 million in financial assets.

The new company is to have its own brand, separate from the commercial bank, also leveraging on the trust company in Italy and the international structures in the UK and Luxembourg.

The new company will have dedicated branches across Italy and will report directly to the Country Chairman Gabriele Piccini who will assign the role of General Manager to Frederik Geertman, currently manager of the Centre Region, whose position will be covered by Giovanni Forestiero, currently manager of the North West Region.

In addition, the private banking network, dedicated to customers with financial assets worth between € 500 thousand and € 5 million, under the management of Salvatore Pisconti, will see its development path strengthened. This will take place through the addition of a further 200 bankers, both via internal promotions and investments in recruitment.

Dario Prunotto, the current head of the Private Banking Italy Network, will take up the responsibility of the North West Region of Commercial Banking Italy.
