UniCredit wins eight awards at EMEA Finance Magazine's European Banking Awards

EMEA Finance Magazine has honored UniCredit Group with eight awards at its yearly European Banking Awards Ceremony which took place last night in Warsaw in association with the Warsaw Stock Exchange:

  • Best bank in Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary and Slovenia
  • Best investment bank in Italy and Croatia
  • Best foreign investment bank in Poland
  • Most innovative bank in the CEE & CIS for Croatia

According to Tim Burke, editor of the magazine, the awards recognize the group's deal making expertise and the leading example of UniCredit's subsidiaries across the region: "UniCredit subsidiaries in Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary and Slovenia have been busy ensuring that their customers can connect with them in new ways and benefit more from those new channels" - said Tim Burke - " In Italy, Poland and in Croatia the bank structured some high-profile and highly successful transactions during 2013 across the debt and equity capital markets".

Roberto Nicastro, General Manager of UniCredit, said: "We are very pleased to receive these awards from EMEA Finance, as a recognition of our strong and consistent commitment to be a leading European bank and as a proof of our innovative banking approach and proximity to local clients. These eight awards confirm that our clients in Western, Central and Eastern Europe appreciate our efforts to offer the best possible service, including access to global capital markets for companies. For UniCredit, who started its international expansion in Poland in 1999, it is a great satisfaction to receive those awards in Warsaw, in a country where we are a leading presence".
