S&P Dow Jones Indices, one of the world's leading providers of financial market indices, and RobecoSAM, the investment specialist focused exclusively on Sustainability Investing, today announced the results of the annual Dow Jones Sustainability Indices ("DJSI") review.

According to that UniCredit improved its total score up to 84/100 (from 82/100 in 2013), above the banking industry group's average score, which totaled 60, confirming to be among the most sustainable companies in Europe and worldwide (minimum score threshold to be included was 77).

Globally UniCredit improved its scores throughout all three dimensions assessed: Economic, Environmental and Social.

The areas assessed which received the highest performance score are those related to Customer Relationship Management, Risk and Crisis Management, Brand Management, Compliance, Financial Inclusion, Stakeholder Engagement and Labor Practices and Human Rights.
