UniCredit Group Is the New Main Partner for Teatro alla Scala's International Tours

The bank strengthens its commitment to music, the universal language that unites people

The Teatro alla Scala Foundation and UniCredit Group are pleased to announce an agreement in which the bank will serve as the main partner for Teatro alla Scala's international tours from 2009 to 2013.

This partnership complements UniCredit Group's international profile and is designed to strengthen the company's commitment to cultural development, with a particular focus on the universal language of music. For this reason, UniCredit Group is proud to support Teatro alla Scala, an emblem of Italian excellence, worldwide.

"This is an opportunity to increase our visibility in countries of strategic interest," said Alessandro Profumo, CEO of UniCredit Group. "The association of our brand with La Scala, a world-famous and prestigious cultural institution, offers a great way for us to enhance and encourage the growth of a successful and sustainable business. At UniCredit Group, we foster open dialogue with the communities in which we operate in order to better promote and preserve their cultural, economic and social heritage."

Support of music in all its forms is a foundation of UniCredit Group's commitment to culture and springs from our belief in the value and power of differences, which is demonstrated on a daily basis by all of the banks within our network.

"For this reason, the Group, with its 170,000 employees in 22 countries, is glad to support La Scala, which will represent Italy at the highest levels as it visits the great cities of Europe and the world," concluded Profumo.
