Luigi Lovaglio - First Vice President and General Manager of Bank Pekao SA, the leading bank in Poland - has been awarded the decoration of Commander of the Order of the Star of the Italian Solidarity by the decree of the President of the Italian Republic Giorgio Napolitano in recognition of his significant contribution to the development of the economic relations between Italy and Poland.
The honor was bestowed on him on Tuesday, 18th March 2008 at the Italian Embassy in Warsaw by H.E. Italian Ambassador Anna Blefari Melazzi.
The order of the Star of Italian Solidarity, instituted in 1947, is the most ancient of the Republic of Italy and it is bestowed upon Italians and foreign nationals who gave a meaningful contribution to the prestige of Italy.
