UniCredit is the Best Bank in Western Europe and the Best Bank in Italy for Euromoney

UniCredit has been adjudged yesterday in London, at the Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2007 Ceremony, the Best Bank in Western Europe and, once again, the Best Bank in Italy, after having been awarded last year for the successful aggregation with HVB.
In its Awards for Excellence, Euromoney recognises the best-performing financial institutions in every significant financial market and product sector, as well as the leading banks in well over 100 countries. These annual awards set the standards for banking and capital market excellence amongst the top ranking financial institutions around the world.
UniCredit has been also assigned the Best Debt Award in Bulgaria as well as HVB Bank Biochim - one of the Bulgarian banks of the UniCredit Group at present merged into UniCredit Bulbank - has been awarded as Best Bank in Bulgaria.
Awards for Excellence incorporate 25 global awards for banking and capital markets, close to 50 regional awards, in North America, Latin America, Western Europe, the Nordic and Baltic regions, Emerging Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Central Asia and Asia-Pacific; and awards for the best banks and securities houses in over 100 countries around the world. All these awards have one central theme - they recognise institutions and individuals that demonstrate leadership, innovation, and momentum in the markets in which they excel.
