The UniCredit Group register the .eu extension of its website. A choice driven by the will to be aknowledged as a Group deeply rooted in Europe.

Since last April, when the Internet domain ".eu" was launched, many companies and organisations in the European Union have become extremely motivated in being identified on the Internet as European. UniCredit is one of the very first companies having attained the .eu extension registration for its brands.

The new identity on the Web testifies that UniCredit wants to be considered European, not just Austrian, German, Italian, Polish or Russian. This does not mean erasing the differences. On the contrary, it means taking advantage of common European roots and embracing the diversity as an important resource of the Group, even though UniCredit is aware that its project involves people who live all over the world and that - in some businesses - the Group is already a global one.

The domain .eu will make UniCredit's multi-national roots and European presence more visible, both in the Web-sphere and in email correspondence, that's why a project is being carried out through which the Group e-mail accounts will be assigned the extension .eu.
