PRESS RELEASE ACCORDING TO ART. 114 OF THE TUF
Monte dei Paschi di Siena, Capitalia and UniCredit have exercised their withdrawal right according to the Consultation Pact, signed in 2003, and regarding their shareholding in Assicurazioni Generali, jointly deciding not to renew it.
The pact will thus expire on 13 September 2007.
