With reference to the merger by incorporation of Capitalia S.p.A into UniCredit S.p.A., it is hereby announced that today, 27th September 2007, the merger deed was registered in the Commercial Register of Genoa, where the incorporating company has currently its legal seat. As provided by the aforesaid deed, the merger will become effective as of 1st October 2007, pursuant to Section 2504 bis, par. 2, of the Italian Civil Code.
