Bank consolidates status as leading provider in Italy, Germany and CEE

UniCredit has retained its status as the Best Bank for Treasury & Cash Management in Germany and Italy, as well being named as the Best Bank for Liquidity Management in Central & Eastern Europe, in Global Finance's 2021 Treasury & Cash Management Providers Awards.

As in previous years, the results are based on a multi-tiered assessment process - which includes entries from banks and providers and input from industry analysts, corporate executives, technology experts and independent research - in order to identify the best providers of treasury and cash management services globally.

Commenting on the recognition, Luca Corsini, UniCredit's Co-Head of Global Transaction Banking, said: "We are extremely proud of these awards, which reflect both the pan-European coverage of our platform and the ability to help clients of all shapes and sizes navigate the unprecedented challenges we've seen this year."

Giovanni Solaroli, also Co-Head of Global Transaction Banking, added: "Treasury and cash management have proved evermore critical functions over the course of the pandemic and this success is testament to our teams' collaborative spirit, expertise, and commitment to providing best-in-class services."

The accolades follow a strong year of investment across UniCredit's cash management platform - including innovations such as virtual accounts, instant payments, SWIFT gpi, and digital document signing - whereby the Group has sought to spearhead industry trends and optimise digital tools, remaining agile around clients' ever-changing needs.

In December, UniCredit was recognised as the Best Service Provider in ten individual countries - eight of which were in CEE, alongside Austria and Germany - as part of Euromoney's 2020 Cash Management Survey.
