The 94th Opera Festival will take place from June 24 to August 28, with UniCredit serving as major partner of the Fondazione Arena di Verona for the 23rd consecutive year. Each year, this internationally renowned opera festival stages famous operas for adoring and appreciative audiences.
The 2016 Season presents 46 performances of five operas, including a much anticipated special evening with Roberto Bolle and friends on July 18.
The premiere on June 24 will bring George Bizet's great opera Carmen to the stage under the direction of Franco Zeffirelli. The festival will also stage a revival of the 1913 production of Aida, led by Gianfranco de Bosio, Giuseppe Verdi's La Traviata, produced by Hugo de Ana, Giacomo Puccini's Turandot and Il Trovatore by Giuseppe Verdi.
