ABI - Festival of Creative Culture: Banking for Youth and Our Territories
UniCredit is proud to participate in the first ever Festival della Cultura Creativa ("Festival of Creative Culture"), a new initiative for young people, organized by ABI, the Italian Banking Association, in collaboration with Italy's major banking groups.
This series of special events will take place from May 12 to 18, 2014, and will be organized around the concept of "The Imaginary Museum" -- a place that is not closed or bounded, but instead functions as a meeting place, welcoming everybody with the opportunity to express their own creativity.
During these seven days, children and teens will take part in a range of activities designed to stimulate their creativity and their self-expression, including music and art workshops, exhibitions and theatre performances. For participating banking groups, this will serve as an important occasion to promote initiatives that strengthen the social fabric of the country.
Banks supporting culture and society -- the event perfectly captures UniCredit's longstanding commitment to projects aimed at the social and cultural growth of the communities where we work.
For this reason, on Saturday, May 17, our Group will present four artistic and musical events in four cities - Bologna, Milan, Turin and Palermo.
In Milan, we will hold a musical performance for primary school children (Fabbrica del Vapore, via Procaccini, 4, at 15:30). This is the final piece of a special project called Sound, Music!, created in collaboration with the Filarmonica della Scala Orchestra and director Francesco Micheli, and inspired by Igor Stravinsky's The Rite of Spring. Free tickets (for one adult and one child per caller) may be obtained, subject to availability, by calling 02 88624385, on Monday through Friday, from 9:00 to 13:00 and 14:30 to 17:30. In Bologna at the Palazzo Magnani (via Zamboni, 20) and in Turin at the UniManagement space (via XX Settembre, 29), we will be holding a series of workshops called Arte a Soqquadro ("Upside-Down Art"). These workshops will be run by the education department of the Castello di Rivoli (11:00-12:30, 15:00-16:30 and 16:30-18:00). Places may be booked, subject to availability, by calling 02 88624385, on Monday through Friday, from 9:00 to 13:00 and 14:30 to 17:30.
In Palermo at the Palazzo Branciforte (via Bara all'Olivella, 2), we will hold three workshops called Il Museo delle parole immaginarie ("The Museum of Imaginary Words"). They will be run by the Associazione Civita for children from 8 to 10 years of age (10:30-12:00, 16:00-17:30 and 18:00-19:30). Places may be booked, subject to availability, by calling 091 8887767 or by writing to info@palazzobranciforte.it.
