The Filarmonica della Scala at a Movie Theater Near You
Monday, May 21 at 7:45 pm will be the fifth performance of La Filarmonica della Scala al cinema (The Filarmonica della Scala in Movie Theaters), a concert series presented by the Filarmonica della Scala together with UniCredit, its main partner, along with Musicom.it and Nexo Digital.
This concert, filmed, with Pietro Tagliaferri direction, in high-definition, will be broadcast live in movie theaters worldwide. The evening's musical program presents Gabrieli - Tre Canzoni (Transcription by Claudio Ambrosini), Beethoven - Piano concert no 4, Casella - Paganiniana, Respighi - Feste romane. Director Fabio Luisi, piano Rafał Blechacz.
Director Francesco Micheli will greet moviegoers live from the theater's entrance before leading them to the conductor's dressing room and then on to where the concert is set to begin. Audiences will be taken behind the scenes of the legendary theater, where they will watch never before seen interviews with the performing musicians and conductors.
