UniCredit has been recognised by ABI for its Dynamic Discounting service, designed to support supply chains, with a special mention of its disability awareness project focused on creating a better working environment

UniCredit’s commitment to innovation and the development of efficient solutions for its customers, has been recognised in the 2020 edition of the ABI Award for innovation in banking services. The ABI Awards are annually organised by the Italian Banking Association to promote the innovation in the Italian financial sector, showing the most valuable projects adopted by banks in the country.

UniCredit ranked first in the Open Innovation category for its Dynamic Discounting project, a new digital solution to support supply chains offered in collaboration with a fin-tech start-up (FinDynamic).

With Dynamic Discounting, companies belonging to the same supply chain have access to a digital platform that maximises liquidity management and optimises relationships within their network. The service is already used by a number of clients operating in production chains ranging from food to large-scale distribution, sectors where liquidity is a key factor, especially in this period of time.

The bank also received a special mention in the Innovation in Communications category for its “Our differences make the difference” project, which promotes and provides education about working with people with disabilities. . The award recognised the bank’s longstanding work, which has involved experts, trade associations and people with disabilities, whose valuable feedback and suggestions were essential to improving our approach to inclusion and respect for differences.

The ABI awards jury consisted of a scientific committee made up of representatives from the business, institutional and academic world.
