UniCredit Youth America’s Cup took place from the 17th to the 26th of September in Barcelona, bringing together the world's most exceptional young sailors aged between 18 and 25 years old, representing 12 countries.

The Italian team won the last regatta on Thursday over the United States in the head-to-head final on the Mediterranean Sea off Barcelona.

The UniCredit Youth America’s Cup is a sailing competition designed for young sailors providing them an opportunity to showcase their skills on a global stage. It serves as a pathway for emerging talent to potentially participate in the prestigious America’s Cup. Teams representing various countries compete in high-performance foiling boats, and the event features both fleet and match racing. The goal is to foster youth development and promote the future of sailing at an elite level.

As part of the sponsorship of the 37th America’s Cup, UniCredit proudly supported the next generation of talents at the third edition of the Youth America’s Cup, where spectators had the opportunity to catch the races from the beach as the event was open to the public. It was also broadcast globally on free-to-air channels and online.

Our Bank’s involvement in this initiative is in line with our commitment to unlocking young people's potential and promoting sustainable and economic development.
