Celebrating automotive excellence in Modena
Thursday 18 May 2023
UniCredit was the main sponsor of the recent Motor Valley Fest in Modena, a journey through supercars and the challenges the automotive sector will face in the future. The initiative was the perfect occasion for our bank to reiterate our territorial presence and support one of Italy’s most important industrial sectors, while embracing topics such as digital innovation, electric mobility and alternative fuels for a better future for our communities.
The curtain has just come down on the Motor Valley Fest, the great open-air festival that for four days saw Modena as the star of the automotive sector. A rich programme of conferences put a spotlight on the future of the automotive supply-chain, as well as cultural and food and wine events and a showcase of some the most iconic cars and motorcycles.
"We are once again delighted to have supported this year's Motor Valley Fest. A unique lab for the future of the automotive sector" said Remo Taricani, Deputy Head of Italy at UniCredit. "It is a well-established initiative for the sector which keeps its heart in Modena but is acquiring an increasingly international footprint. All perfectly in line with our Bank’s purpose and desire to be concretely rooted in the Italian territory to empower communities to progress, accompanying our companies on a broader growth path, embracing innovation and sustainability. The latter constitute two essential elements for the success of companies that find in UniCredit an attentive and expert partner, ready to offer specific advice on ESG and support all investments with a view to technological and digital innovation."
UniCredit was present with a dedicated corner for Motor Valley Fest in Modena’s Piazza Grande, promoting two engagement activities: virtual reality, to enter the metaverse with a personalised avatar and to explore special digital environments created for the event and a virtual racing car driving experience, all with the use of VR headsets to make the involvement even more immersive.
The Festival was also enriched with initiatives for start-ups and the involvement of the Motor Valley Accelerator, the Italian acceleration programme for innovative companies in the mobility and automotive sector, launched in 2021 and of which UniCredit is a co-investor.
