Pioneer Investments: assets rise to euros 154 billion, with the acquisition of AmSouth mutual funds in the Usa

Pioneer Investments closed the month of September with inflows of €757 million.
Since the beginning of the year total inflows equalled €7.9 billion (+€5.4 billion compared with the same period last year), of which €5.8 billion came from Italy and €2.1 billion from the rest of the world. 
Pioneer Investments' assets were augmented by those deriving from the acquisition of AmSouth's mutual funds which equalled $5.2 billion (€4.3 billion calculated "pro-forma" from the beginning of the year).
During the month, total Assets under management increased 1.4% (+15,1% since the beginning of the year) and reached €153.9 billion, due to the combined net sales effect (+0.5%) and market effect (+0.9%).

Total inflows in Italy exceeded €650 million (+€5.8 billion in the first nine months of the year), due particularly to continued positive trends in the Segregated Accounts and Third Party business.
Mutual funds recorded inflows of €405 million; Pioneer Investments increased its market share further, reaching 15.24% (+70 basis points since the beginning of the year) in the Assogestioni perimeter.
Total Assets under Management in Italy at the end of the month stood at €105.2 billion (+1.7% over the previous month and +13.3% since the beginning of the year).

The International division (ex Italy) recorded inflows of €115 million in the month (+€1.6 billion since the beginning of the year) due particularly to good sales of mutual funds in Spain (+€55 million) and Chile (+€32 million) and by the placement of the Momentum Funds in France (+€38 million).
Total Assets under Management now exceed €10 billion, showing an increase of 1.5% over the previous month and 34.5% since the beginning of the year.

The American division closed the month with outflows of €107 million. Since the beginning of the year flows were negative at €580 million.
The positive trend continued in the Institutional segment, with inflows of €24 million.
Total Assets under Management in this division stood at €32.6 billion (substantially unchanged compared with the previous month), an increase of 11.2% since the beginning of the year, with no impact from the AmSouth acquisition.

Positive inflows of €92 million were achieved by the New Markets division (mainly concentrated in Poland), with total inflows that have exceeded €1 billion since the beginning of the year, an increase of €734 million compared with the same period of last year (+262%). 
Positive contributions were seen during the month from Slovakia and Bulgaria.
Total Assets under Management increased by 5.5% compared with the previous month (+40.6% since the beginning of the year) and reached €5.5 billion. 

Pioneer Alternative Investments recorded outflows of €77 million during the month; since the beginning of the year flows remain positive at over €200 million (net flows and AuM data are included in the reported numbers for other division). 
Total Assets under Management in this division were €4.3 billion, an increase of 12.7% since the beginning of the year (-0.9% over the previous month).
