UniCredit Foundation: a new Purpose for Europe’s youth
Monday 28 November 2022
UniCredit proudly relaunches its Foundation with a renewed focus on youth and education, committing to empowering Europe’s young generations to unlock their fullest potential by offering equal education opportunities and providing them with the right tools for a brighter and better future.
Young people are lagging behind in the midst of the lingering effects of the Covid-19 pandemic and the continuously evolving European labour market. About 250 million young students in Europe leave school without basic reading, writing, and math skills, and secondary school graduates have a 58% employment rate versus 85% for those with university degrees.
In line with UniCredit’s ambition to be the bank for Europe’s future, the UniCredit Foundation is relaunching its Purpose: unlocking the potential of Europe’s next generation by offering them equal educational opportunities and the necessary tools to achieve successful academic careers, allowing them to prosper. The Foundation aims to work towards combating early school drop-out, enhancing employability, encouraging university attainment and supporting study and research for Europe’s next generation.
