Rest-Cent Italy 2021
Together, we can make a difference and help children undergoing treatment to overcome the effects of autism and cancer
UniCredit Foundation and the people of the Group continue their commitment to the Rest-Cent Italy initiative: by joining the fundraiser, you can donate cents from your net salary to support the projects of the Fondazione Sacra Famiglia and Fondazione SoleTerre non-profit organisations. In this way, you can help children undergoing treatment to overcome the effects of autism and cancer. UniCredit Foundation will double the entire amount donated.
"Choosing to join Rest-Cent is a small and simple gesture, but one which can make a difference both in the lives of the people who receive, and in the lives of the people who donate. With a very small financial contribution, equal to a maximum of 10 euros per year, we can multiply the number and scope of projects to be supported. Many colleagues have already joined us, but we could be many, many more. And the more we are, the more we can have an impact on society, on our territories and on disadvantaged children". Roberta Marracino, Head of Group ESG Strategy & Impact Banking.

Project: Grandi contro... le disabilità indotte dai tumori infantili (Great against... disabilities caused by childhood cancer)
The initiative is aimed at children, adolescents, and their families, who can benefit from legal and psychological advice and support for rehabilitation and physiotherapy services through an on-line platform.
But that's not all: thanks to the funds raised with Rest-Cent Italy, the Fondazione Soleterre will be able to accompany 120 young patients, supporting their families, even after they return home, thanks to the remote consultation service. The work of the psycho-oncologists of Soleterre is not only carried out in the hospital wards of Pavia and Taranto, but also remotely throughout Italy, with videoconferences and on-line services in which they provide legal and psychological advice to families who have had to deal with a case of pediatric cancer.
Fondazione Sacra Famiglia
Project: BluHome: intensive habilitative experiences for children with autism and their families
The project, the first in Europe, was created to ensure intensive rehabilitation paths through educational apartments accommodating about 130 families per year. Inside the 6 living-assisted apartments, children and their families spend about 10 days, during which, they can benefit from the support of doctors and experts who define personalised paths for the young patients, enabling them to adapt and evolve in real time according to their needs. This helps them to cope with everyday life in the best way, correct behaviour issues, and improve the quality of their lives.
