UniCredit, Main Sponsor of the San Carlo Theatre. Together to support culture and territorial social growth.

Our commitment to supporting and enhancing culture

UniCredit is proud to support culture, a resource to be protected and enhanced in its various forms that makes us unique on the international scene.

The bank has therefore become the Main Sponsor of an organisation of extraordinary value such as the San Carlo Theatre in Naples, with which it is committed to working, side by side, in all theatrical production and promotion activities for the 2022/2023 season.

In addition to supporting the 22/23 theatre season, the bank is also committed to supporting the San Carlo Theatre's education and inclusion projects aimed at the residents of various neighborhoods in the city of Naples.

In particular, thanks also to UniCredit's involvement and in collaboration with third sector associations active in the area, the San Carlo Theatre will develop social and educational activities with guided creative listening workshops for primary and secondary school children, as well as projects for the professional inclusion of younger people, linked to the performing arts and professions.

San Carlo Theatre: the 2023 season

The San Carlo Theatre presents the 2022-23 Season with 12 opera shows, 5 new productions, 5 ballets, 17 concerts, the second edition of the Piano Festival and Chamber Music Season and 4 tours.

The season, which began in November 2022 with Giuseppe Verdi's Don Carlo, will see actors, directors, conductors and famous voices from the world of opera take turns on this important stage.

From 1 January to 31 March 2023, due to some restoration works that will affect the theatre's hall, the Orchestra, Chorus and Corps de Ballet will be temporarily engaged at the Teatro Politeama, a stage on which three opera titles in concert form (Rigoletto by Giuseppe Verdi, La damnation de Faust by Hector Berlioz and Macbeth by Giuseppe Verdi) and two productions featuring the Ballet of the Teatro di San Carlo will take place.

Richard Wagner's Die Walküre will be making a comeback to the historic hall of the Teatro di San Carlo after the restoration works.
