UniCredit continues to be included in the FTSE4Good Index Series

The results of the semi-annual review of the FTSE4Good indices of September 2012 have been announced.

FTSE Group confirms that UniCredit has been independently assessed according to the FTSE4Good criteria and has satisfied the requirements to be included as a constituent of the FTSE4Good Index Series.

Positive results also from FTSE4Good ESG Ratings: UniCredit absolute score improved to 4.7 out of 5 (4.3 in the last semi-annual review in March 2012). Due to its sustainability performance, UniCredit has been selected among the FTSE4Good Leaders group and currently is ranked as the second best bank in Europe, according to the FTSE4Good ESG Ratings Supersector and Regional Leaders classification.

Another important result for UniCredit follows the confirmation in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes (World and Europe) as the best Italian bank, achieving the highest global score (83 out of 100).

Created by the global index company FTSE Group, FTSE4Good is an equity index series that is designed to facilitate investment in companies that meet globally recognised stringent environmental, social and governance criteria and are positioned to capitalise on the benefits of responsible business practice. FTSE4Good ESG Ratings have been designed to measure the ESG risk of these companies, and their management of those risks, objectively. Ratings across six ESG themes track over 2,400 public companies, making FTSE4Good ESG Ratings a valuable tool for investors who wish to incorporate ESG factors into their investment decision making processes.
