"Our consolidated first quarter 2007 business results show robust organic growth with resulting significant value creation, confirming the strong performance of all of our divisions and geographies", said UniCredit Group CEO Alessandro Profumo.
"Notable is also that the Central and Eastern Europe and the Poland Markets Divisions are contributing significantly to our good result, in spite of the challenging merger and re-branding projects we have running in many of these markets. Our strong international orientation and presence in 20 countries position us well for future growth, including in cross-border business", added Profumo.
