UniCredit Group Investor Relations wins the award as Best IR Team among European Banks

UniCredit Group Investor Relations Team has been awarded Best IR in the Banking Sector in Europe during the Thomson Extel Pan-European IR Excellence Awards 2007 in London.

This award is based on a survey among analysts and fund managers, held by Thomson Extel in 2007, which is the most comprehensive, complete view of IR practice and excellence across Europe.

UniCredit Group has been chosen as "Leading Pan-European quoted company for IR 2007" in the Banking sector.

Steve Kelly, Head of Thomson Extel Surveys, said: "The response to the Survey is clear evidence of the importance of the IR function of quoted companies by the buy- and sell-sides. Both the teams and the individuals deserve to be recognised for their expertise and for their significant contribution to the efficient running of the equity capital markets".

The survey reflects the contribution of over 5,000 professionals from 1,450 buy-side firms, across 59 countries worldwide. From the sell-side, over 1,500 analysts from 130 brokerage firms/research houses participated, and 494 of Europe's largest quoted companies also took part.

Milan, 24 September 2007
