UniCredit: Maurizio Beretta is the new Head of Identity & Communications

Starting from 14 March, Maurizio Beretta is the new Head of Identity & Communications of UniCredit, with responsibility for external and internal communication of the Group in Italy and at international level.

 

Born in Milan, a journalist by background, Maurizio Beretta, 55, has worked for RAI - Radio Televisione Italiana for more than 20 years. He has been a reporter, a special correspondent and then head of desk for business news, before becoming deputy editor of the news program TG1.
After his experience at TG1 he is appointed director for Institutional and International Affairs at RAI. He then becomes director of Divisione Uno, with responsibility for budget and program management of RAI UNO, RAI DUE, TG1, TG2 and RAI SPORT.
In 2000 he is appointed director of RAI UNO.
In June 2001 Maurizio Beretta leaves RAI in order to join FIAT, where he is in charge of external relations and communication. In 2003 he is appointed Director of Institutional and International Relations for the group. He has been  also President of Fiat Media Center and a director of UPA (Utenti Pubblicità Associati).
In his career Maurizio Beretta has also been a member of Consiglio Nazionale dell'Economia e del Lavoro (CNEL), an advisory body to the Italian government, and member of the Board of Il Sole 24 Ore.
From 2004 to 2009 he was the general manager of Confindustria, the Association of Italian Industry. In September 2009 he was appointed Chairman of Lega Calcio, the association of Italian premier league  football clubs.

 

Starting also from March 14, Antonella Massari, so far Head of Identity & Communication, will be leading the Group Stakeholder and Service Intelligence, a new  department that will have the task to improve the capacity of UniCredit to listen, understand and manage the needs and the expectations of the stakeholders of the Group.
