Upon request of Consob pursuant to art. 114, section 5, D.Lgs. n. 58/1998 and in relation to the market rumors concerning a potential merger with Société Générale, UniCredit communicates that there exist no negotiation regarding such a transaction, although, in the context of regular exploratory activity of strategic growth opportunities, there are contacts with Société Générale, with whom, as known, UniCredit has a long standing relation.
