Pioneer Investments: net flows in August exceed € 1.2 billion

Market share in Italy continues to grow

Pioneer Investments achieved net flows of €1.27 billion in August, €7.1 billion since the beginning of the year.
Total Assets under Management increased by 1% over the previous month (+13.5% since the beginning of the year) reaching €147.2 billion, a new high, mainly due to the net sales effect (+0.9%).

Italy was particularly positive with inflows of more than €920 million (+€5.2 billion since the beginning of the year), mainly due to the continued sales success of the Segregated Accounts in the UCI Group network, and in the Third Party segment.
In the mutual funds segment, Pioneer Investments reached a market share of 15.17% (+8 basis point on the previous month), and for the seventh month in succession improved its position among asset management companies.
Total Assets under Management in Italy at the end of the month stood at €103.4 billion, an increase of 1.2% on the previous month and 11.4% since the beginning of the year.

Total inflows in the month for the International division (ex Italy) exceeded €300 million (+€1.5 billion in the first eight months of the year) due particularly to sales in Spain, Switzerland and Germany.
Total Assets under Management now exceed €10 billion, showing an increase of 4.4% over the previous month and 32.5% since the beginning of the year.

The American division closed the month with negative net flows of €77 million, -€473 million since the beginning of the year.
Offsetting the outflows, the positive trend continued in the Institutional segment, with inflows of €16 million in pension funds.
Total Assets under Management in this division stood at €28.1 billion, an increase of 12.3% since the beginning of the year; in dollar terms in the same period Assets under Management stood at $34.3 billion.

Positive inflows of €115 million were achieved by the New Markets division (mainly from Poland), with total net flows exceeding €920 million since the beginning of the year.
Positive contributions were also seen from all other countries in the division.
Total Assets under Management increased by 33.2% since the beginning of the year (+3.4% over the previous month) and exceed €5.1 billion.

Pioneer Alternative Investments closed the month with slight outflows (-€8 million); since the beginning of the year net flows were +€280 million (net flows and AuM data are included in the reported numbers for other divisions).
Total Assets under Management in Hedge Funds stood at €4.4 billion, an increase of 1.1% compared with the previous month and 13.8% since the beginning of the year.
