To do well, we need to do good: our Spanish branch's commendable social activities

By putting into practice one of the key messages delivered from the latest Leadership Team Meeting - "To do well, we need to do good" - the Madrid-based employees of the branch of UniCredit started worthy social activities in their free time, in collaboration with Casa Ronald McDonald Madrid.

They focused their efforts to help and entertain children at the "Hospital del Niño Jesus", one of the best known children´s hospitals in Spain, located in Madrid. In that hospital, families from around the country come to bring their children for treatments that normally last a few weeks. They spend all that time in a house adjacent to the hospital adapting to difficult circumstances and leaving everything behind in their home cities in order to support their children in Madrid.

UniCredit employees in Madrid divided themselves into groups and spent time entertaining the children and their families once in the month: they had a baking activity day helping them to bake biscuits and brownies, a musical day playing songs, a football day showing the kids how to play ball and a water gun battle day.

The hospital has a large patio that is heavily exposed to the sun. UniCredit donated an awning to create a shade, which has made a huge difference for the children and their families.

Our Spanish employees will continue to support the hospital and the families. This is a great way for the UniCredit Madrid team to work together and to do good for the community.
