The details of Concerto per Milano - which will take place in Piazza Duomo on Sunday, June 12 at 9:30 p.m. -- were announced at a May 6 press conference held by Milan's Mayor, Giuliano Pisapia, City Councilor Filippo Del Corno, Principal Conductor of the Filarmonica della Scala Riccardo Chailly and the orchestra's Artistic Director, Ernesto Schiavi.
Now in its fourth year, the free public concert will be directed by Maestro Riccardo Chailly and feature world-renowned pianist Martha Argerich.
The event, one of the most anticipated shows for classical music lovers, is organized by the Filarmonica della Scala, UniCredit - the main partner of the orchestra - and Allianz as a special occasion dedicated to the city of Milan.

The concert will be broadcast live in HD on RAI5 in collaboration with the Municipality of Milan and the Class Editori media group.
It is part of the UniCredit-sponsored Open Filarmonica project, which includes, the "Filarmonica della Scala Meets the City" open rehearsals, the "Sound, Music!" initiative for primary school children and the Scholarship Program for young talented musicians.
