The exhibition "The Great Magic. Selected works from the UniCredit Art Collection", at MAMbo, the Modern Art Museum of Bologna, closed on Sunday, February 16, after 4 months and almost 23.000 visitors. A great success for a magic path: thank you to everyone.
The Great Magic continues a widely praised series of exhibitions that have showcased many of the renowned works held by our banking Group. A path comprise of 90 works from the UniCredit Art Collection brought us through the magic of art and art as an enchantment from 16th century to today.
The UniCredit Art Collection, one of the top corporate art collections in Europe, reflects UniCredit's European identity. With roughly 60,000 works from the banks that joined together to create UniCredit, the collection is comprised mainly of modern and contemporary art. The size, diversity and quality of its holdings speaks to our Group's commitment to uphold the cultural heritage of its local territories and support the universal language of the fine arts. The main collections are based in Austria, Italy and Germany but also in Poland, Turkey and Russia.
Over the years, our Group has shared its important cultural assets by making loans to prominent museums as well as by staging exhibitions in many of the countries where we live and work. By sharing our cultural heritage, we become closer to our communities. The Great Magic marks another successful Group initiative intended to present culture and art to a wider new public.
