The seventh annual International Journalism Festival in Perugia concluded this past Sunday and was a great success, with a significant increase of public for more than 200 events.
Every year, the festival attracts some of the most prominent names in international journalism, along with influential players in the economic and financial sectors.
The festival's motto "No paywall here" refers to the fact that admission to all events is free of charge, a stance that is in keeping with UniCredit's commitment to making culture fully accessible to the public.
Highlights from this year's festival include:
more than 200 events
more than 500 speakers
1,500 accredited journalists
50,000 tweets by online followers
On the last Festival day the Hashtag #ijf13 has been the most used one in Italy.
This year, UniCredit organized several panels featuring audience participation and real-time tweeting from the bank's @UniCredit_PR Twitter account. Distinguished panelists included Maurizio Beretta, UniCredit's Head of Group Identity & Communications, Giampiero Bergami, UniCredit's Head of Region Centro Nord and Renato Vichi, UniCredit's Head of Media Relations Italy.
See you at next year's festival!
