The sixth annual International Journalism Festival closed on Sunday, April 29 and was dubbed a success, drawing 50,000 registered participants over the course of five days. In 2011, the festival attracted 30,000 visitors.
Every year, the festival hosts some of the biggest names in international journalism, as well as influential players in the economic, financial and information technology sectors. The free of charge event provides a platform for active audience participation in meetings, discussions and presentations on timely topics.
Highlights from the 2012 festival:

The festival was also popular among its online followers and generated more than 40,000 tweets.
UniCredit organized several panels at the festival this year, in which audience members were active participants. Among the distinguished panelists were Maurizio Beretta, UniCredit's Head of Identity and Communications, Renato Vichi, UniCredit's Head of Media Relations Italy, and Maria Cuffaro, journalist for TG3 and editorial coordinator of East Magazine.
