UniCredit's institutional website was recognized for the fifth consecutive year as the best corporate website in both Italy and Europe's financial sectors at the annual KWD Webranking 2011 Awards.
KWD Webranking (previously H&H Webranking) awarded UniCredit for achieving excellent results in online communications from 2002 to 2011.
More than 950 companies, including those in the FT Europe 500 and FT Global 100, and their web corporate communications were assessed. The evaluation assessed functional and interactive applications, availability and quality of financial information, corporate governance, social responsibility, employer branding and the website's positioning in major search engines. This year's research focused particularly on the integration of web corporate communications with social networking.
