On Friday, 24 May, the "Let's give children a family" project was presented in Bratislava by Navrat, a Slovakian non-profit association and by UniCredit Bank Slovakia as part of the UniCredit Foundation's "Your Choice, Your Project" initiative.

The aim of the project, which will run for two years, is to provide support and assistance to abandoned children as they are integrated into new families, and to offer the adoptive and foster parents psychosocial support throughout all phases of the process. A further aim of "Let's give children a family" is to actively involve staff members of UniCredit Bank Slovakia on a volunteer basis.
The initiative is receiving financial aid from UniCredit Foundation to the tune of  €108,000 and 120 children with their respective families will benefit from the project.

"Through this project, we intend to support the foster and adoptive families in a variety of ways, thus enabling them to provide a home to children who, up until now, have never known a real family" said Jozef Barta, Managing Director of UniCredit Bank Slovakia.

"Slovakia and Bulgaria were the first countries in which the Foundation launched its 'Your Choice, Your Project' programme, at the moment it is, but soon other countries, among them Italy, will be involved as well," explained Maurizio Carrara, President of UniCredit Foundation.
