Six universities, 18 months of training, 50 UniCredit employees coming from all CIB business areas. These are the figures of the 2011-12 Master in Corporate & Investment Banking that began on 16 May at the SDA Bocconi in Milan. In attendance were Jean Pierre Mustier, Head of UniCredit CIB, and Michael Hinssen, Head of UniCredit CIB HR.

Mustier congratulated the participants on their acceptance into the program and  emphasized the "five levers on the way to success".  This is a leadership behavioural model that seeks to never lose sight of the risks by focusing "transparency and discipline, clients and revenues generation, cooperation and cross-selling effectiveness, leadership and change management, and risk management."

"Get the most out of the Master and from the international culture of UniCredit," encouraged Mustier.

Michael Hinssen, Head of CIB HR, urged the participants coming from 16 countries and from all CIB business areas  to acquire knowledge and instruments which allow "understanding and satisfying the customers' needs, promoting collaboration among the various functions of the Division and creating a network of colleagues, who can guide change and help our business opportunities to grow."

Former students Mark Weingart and Cristina Mercuri also spoke. Weingart said the program meant "learning to think out of the box and combining theory with the experience of real-life banking." Mercuri told the students that she learned, "there is no conflict between different cultures, but only between different ignorance."
