UniCredit & AIRC: Research can score a goal to cancer with teamwork and your support
file

Also this year Unicredit confirms its commitment to the research by supporting AIRC - the Italian Association for Cancer Research

The new Unicredit & AIRC's website is now online. It contains information on the projects supported by UniCredit, the events organized for helping the research and important news on cancer prevention. It is also possible to find out how to give your contribute to the research.

November, 5th is the National Day for Cancer Research.
Unicredit promotes a fund raising to support the research for more effective cancer therapies.

The only way to defeat cancer is investing on talented scientists and on forefront technologies. This is why UniCredit supports a Team of Researchers, composed by eleven young scientists who gained experience abroad and brought it back to Italy. Today they work on innovative and independent research projects. Their aim is to transfer the outcome of their lab studies into therapies and make them available to the community.

From the North to the South, the Unicredit Research Team works hard to make cancer more treatable. Now the first significant results in the studies have arrived, such as those achieved by Lucia Altucci on the molecules inspired by natural components, by Piergiorgio Modena on the genetic anomalies and by Silvio Danese on the intestinal angiogenesis.

Thanks to everybody's support, these researchers will have the resources for completing their projects. In fact, the research has an impact on everybody's life and not only on sick people.

Funding the research is vital: it is a challenge that we can only win together.
