Stefano Cassani, the founder of Plastic Sort, is the winner of "Il Talento delle Idee", the business plan competition promoted by UniCredit and Confindustria Giovani Imprenditori together with UniCredit's Local Advisory Boards, Comitati Territoriali, to support young entrepreneurs' business ideas. Alessandro Daniele, the founder of EPoS, got the second-position award, while the third award was assigned to Michele Guala, the founder of Niso Biomed.

The award ceremony was hosted by Confindustria's Young Entrepreneurs' national meeting in Santa Margherita Ligure on June 11th. Alessandro La Porta, head of UniCredit Territorial Relations Department and Vincenzo Nasi, vice-president of Confindustria's Young Entrepreneurs attended the award ceremony and personally gave the awards to the winners.

The ceremony hosted a public discussion on innovation and entrepreneurship with key opinion leaders, with the involvement of Luca Orlando, assignment editor of Il Sole 24 Ore: Gabriele Piccini, UniCredit Italy Country Chairman; Vincenzo Nasi, vice-president of Confindustria's young entrepreneurs; Josè Rallo, shareholder of DonnaFugata; Simone Cimino, Chairman and CEO of Capenaxtis; Francesco Profumo, Dean of Turin's Politechnic University.

"Evidences show an enthusiastic commitment by young entrepreneurs" said Gabriele Piccini, Italy Country Chairman, "in partnership with Confindustria we have established a net of opportunities receiving more than 270 high-quality applications from all over the country. Figures show that about 45% of them come from people under 30s - added Piccini - boasting innovative business ideas (67% overall) and young companies, less than 18 months old.

In addition to taylor-made financing and a master course in business and finance dedicated to the 18 winners, the three winners won 25.000 €, 15.000 € and 10.000 € respectively.

"The business ideas we've presented today - said Federica Guidi, President of Confindustria's Young Entrepreneurs - show both the innovation attitude of this country and the negative effect that could come from the risk of losing it because of the lack of opportunities for those young talents. Through this initiative we've bet on the ideas of today in order to let become the companies of tomorrow."
