The non-profit organisation will receive 3‰ of any expenditure made by the holders of the card.
Yesterday in Rome, in the splendid setting of Palazzo De Carolis, the agreement between the UniCredit Group and the Banco Alimentare Onlus Foundation which forms part of the Carta Etica Project was signed and simultaneously presented to the press. With this agreement, the Banco Alimentare Onlus Foundation receives 350,000 Euro from UniCredit and joins the ranks of the non-profit organisations to which the UniCredit Carta Etica automatically transfers 3‰ of the amount of any expenditure made by its holders.
In addition, the Banco Alimentare Foundation has been included in the Charity section of the MilleGenius Club list - a loyalty program for the holders of a Genius Team, First or Club account - to convert the points accumulated into donations to non-profit organisations.
The agreement was concluded by the Head of the Retail Division and Deputy CEO of the UniCredit Group, Roberto Nicastro, and the Chairman of the Banco Alimentare Onlus Foundation, Monsignor Mauro Inzoli. The event was hosted by Paola Pierri, the Chairperson of Unidea, the non-profit foundation of the UniCredit Group, while the journalist Franco Bechis chaired the press conference at which the agreement was presented to the press.
