To inspire and produce responsible change in society through ideas and creative projects is the aim of the Cittadellarte - Pistoletto Foundation founded by the artist Michelangelo Pistoletto in Biella. The same commitment of the Foundation is shared by UniCredit Group that has also a leading position in Europe's fastest growing economies (Central and Eastern Europe) as it is one of the largest banking and financial services in Europe.

In 2007 on the occasione of the "UNIDEE-University of Ideas" program—a workshop focused on improving the education of artists, curators, managers of socio-cultural projects, suggesting them innovative and creative strategies for social responsible change—UniCredit supported the residency programs at Biella for 3 young participants from the Eastern Europe. On the occasion of the launching of the open call for applications for the forthcoming workshop (that will take place at Biella from June 16 to October 16) UniCredit confirms again its support toward 3 young talents from the Eastern Europe.

A place where is possible to ask questions, trying to understand and then acting, producing ideas, elaborating on them and discussing thoughts; a place where it is possible to develop thoughts into working plans, projects, and then transform them into a concrete practice: this is how it works at the University of Ideas of the Cittadellarte - Pistoletto Foundation for the artists, the curators, and the managers of socio-cultural projects. The city of Biella—where the University is based—with its natural, social, and cultural landscape becomes the centre where a constructive reflection will be started and spread all over the contexts where the participants come from as they will act as truly "activators" of creative processes for social responsible change.

The participants will live in Cittadellarte, will have their private rooms, but the working space will be open and common. The experience will be shared in group of 20 young people from various cultures, working together in a micro-society.

The deadline to apply for the residency program is February 29.
