MAXXI, Rome

The Museo Nazionale della Arti del XXI Secolo, better known as the MAXXI, in collaboration with the Comune di Reggio Emilia presents "Luigi Ghirri. Pensare per immagini."  This exhibition of the best-known works by one of the fathers of Italian photography is curated by Francesca Fabiani, Laura Gasparini and Giuliano Sergio.

Running from April 24 to October 27, 2013, the exhibition displays original gallery proofs, books, catalogues and film negatives.  Also included are 300 of Ghirri's photographs, organized into three sections - architecture, landmarks and landscapes.  UniCredit has loaned three photographs from its corporate collection to this important show: Amsterdam (1973), Modena (1970) and Modena (1975).

Because we believe in the importance of making cultural initiatives accessible to broad and diverse audiences, we loan artwork from our corporate collection to museums, cultural institutions and exhibitions.  UniCredit has established a close partnership with the MAXXI and provides long-term loans to the museum free of charge.
