Rome, July 12: Seventh Annual East Forum
Palazzo Barberini, Via della Quattro Fontane, 13
The UniCredit Public Affairs department and East magazine together present the seventh annual East Forum on Thursday, July 12 in Rome. The topic of this year's forum centers on "The Challenge of Economic Growth: New Approaches to Industrial Policy."
Similar to last year, East Forum 2012 will be held in collaboration with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
Over the years, the topic of industrial policy has sparked a lively international debate, often marked by conflicting ideological viewpoints on the roles of the state and markets.
East Forum 2012 will delve into a range of pressing industrial policy-related issues. Guided by the insights of international experts, the forum aims to promote a lively debate and cull meaningful answers from three panel discussions in order to identify new models, priorities and tools to stimulate development and sustainable economic growth.
In addition to UniCredit Chairman Giuseppe Vita and CEO Federico Ghizzoni, the forum will include key participants such as: Romano Prodi, Chairman of the Foundation for World Wide Cooperation; Xavier Vives, Professor of Economics and Finance, IESE Business School; Justin Yifu Lin, Professor at the China Center for Economic Research, Peking University; and Ivanhoe Lo Bello, Vice President for Education, Confindustria.
