The Arte Povera 1968 Exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art of Bologna
From September 24 to December 26, 2011, the Museum of Modern Art of Bologna (MAMbo) proudly presents the exhibition Arte Povera 1968.
Curated by Germano Celant, the show is part of the Arte Povera 2011 project, which is showcasing artists from this modern art movement in different museums across Italy from now until April 2012.
The current exhibition provides a unique perspective on the origins of this artistic movement and the trends associated with its production.
Beginning with Paolo Mussat Sartor's portraits of the Arte Povera artists, visitors then explore the artists' work created in the 1960s. The exhibition concludes with the same historic selection of art that was presented at the Galleria De' Foscherari in Bologna in 1968.
