  • 21

June 2011

Today at 1 pm, in the foyer of the boxes of La Scala Theater, was presented the Filarmonica della Scala Concert Season 2011-12, one of the most awaited musical calendars.

The 2011-12 season hosts, like every year, a concert directed by a young Maestro. This year the Filarmonica invited the director Battistoni, confirming its commitment tin supporting young talents. The season will also hosts many important directors, between them Baremboin and Harding that will also direct the Filarmonica in some Europe concerts. This season guest orchestra will be the prestigious Sächsische Staatskapelle Dresden.

In occasion of the thirtieth anniversary of the foundation of the Filarmonica della Scala Orchestra has been also presented an ISPO research about the perception of the Milan citizens upon the Filarmonica. This inquiry, coordinated by the institute directed by professor Mannheimer, says that 89% of the Milanese known and appreciate the Filarmonica and that, after only two years, already the 43% of the interviewed knows the open rehearsal project (percentage upon a sample of 1000 people)

It has also been confirmed, for the third consecutive year, the project "La Filarmonica della Scala incontra la città (La Scala Philharmonic Orchestra meets the city)", realized in partnership with UniCredit and UniCredit Foundation.

The project facilitates the participation to the Filarmonica concerts rehearsals of a wide public thanks to low price tickets and the proceeds will be donated to no-profit associations.

The open rehearsals gained a tremendous success thanks to the introduction to the music given to the a musician critic or the director itself that dialogues with the spectators and also thanks to the informal and enthralling atmosphere.
