Herford, Germany

From March 12 to May 22, 2011, the Marta Herford Museum will exhibit THINGS ARE QUEER, a fascinating journey involving works from the UniCredit Art Collection, one of Europe's most important corporate collections.

The exhibition displays roughly 80 artworks, spanning masters of the beginning of the 20th Century, such as Klein and Morandi, as well as recent works by Candida Höfer and Gerhard Richter. The show involves images of many familiar objects while investigating our relationship with them through various artistic representations. The exhibition explores the life of objects and, in turn, the life of humans.

The exhibit takes visitors across different thematic areas, presenting works on nature, urban areas and everyday life, as well as the connections between chaos and order, imagination and harsh reality. The show includes paintings, photographs and sculptures, all of which work to create a place of discovery, research and questioning.

UniCredit is proud to collaborate with Marta Herford, a prestigious museum in one of our company's important markets.

We truly believe that this exhibition, involving various artistic mediums, will promote a dialogue on how art allows us to look beyond the surface of objects.
