  • 28

October 2008
University of Turin, October
Save

The south-western Piedmont social and economic report, promoted by Alpi del Mare UniCredit Territorial Committee, besides valuable knowledge tool of an area that gives hospitality to more than 28% of "piemontese" inhabitants, proposes several useful ideas in the strategic governance perspective of socio-economic dynamics.

The clear purpose of the research is in fact reflecting upon the distinctive elements of south-western Piedmont, so that Alessandria, Asti e Cuneo provinces can be considered as an "unit" socio-economic system. The study represents, anyway, a strong empirical base for an area that has in common: a productive mix, made up of medium enterprises acting in the different manufacturing sectors; a micro-entrepreneurship dynamic tissue; farm and wine-food preeminences
