The "Giovanna Crivelli" Scholarship
For the sixth consecutive year, UniCredit is renewing the competition for two scholarships commemorating Giovanna Crivelli, a colleague who was taken from us too soon, with the aim of training researchers in the fields of political economy, the economics of financial markets and economic policy.
The grants are renewable and awarded to students enrolling in a research doctorate programme in a university of the European Union or the United States for the academic year 2008/2009. Coursework must be relevant to the students' previous studies. Attendance is compulsory.
Candidates and prerequisites
Candidates must have at least a 3-year degree from an Italian university, completed after September 24, 2005. Final marks must be no lower than 110/110, and candidates should have a good knowledge of the relevant foreign language used in the university courses for which the scholarships are chosen.
At least one of the two grants will be awarded to a woman. This policy is adopted to commemorate Giovanna Crivelli's commitment to establishing and consolidating a culture of equal opportunity within our Group.
€25,000 (or equivalent value in other currency) for each scholarship.
Application forms must be submitted by October 31, 2007.
Winners will be announced by January 31, 2008 by the Chairman of the Board of UniCredit, in keeping with the decision of the Application Committee.
